Elaine was brought into existence at the beginning of a new year, a new decade, by two best friends with an affinity for refined, classic style and a profound love for searching for one of a kind treasures. With a desire to create something with purpose and a general frustration over the inflated cost to self-express through clothing, Elaine became more than just a daydream. 

The name Elaine dates back to September 14, 1934 - when Abbie’s grandmother was born. Elaine was an inspiration, having lived her life collecting and restoring vitality to pieces that had been discarded by their previous owners.  She was somewhat of a pioneer when it came to the preservation of our planet and being more economically conscious, whether she realized it or not. 

With her influence at the heart of our business, we are striving to make thrifting, and shopping in general, a more ethically responsible experience where everyone benefits. Our vision is to contribute to the minimization of our carbon footprint and provide once loved garments a second life. We believe in buying quality and intend to bring this exclusivity to the collective at an accessible cost. We believe everyone should be able to express themselves and enjoy the finer things while being kinder to our planet.
